Bruce Wayne & Ace /9500

The Bruce Wayne & Ace figure, numbered 550 in the Pop! Heroes series, draws its inspiration from the Batman Beyond animated television series that first aired in 1999. The set depicts an elderly Bruce Wayne alongside his faithful Great Dane, Ace, representing the mentor-mentee dynamic that defined the futuristic Gotham City setting. This specific iteration was designed to capture the transition of the Batman mantle, emphasizing Wayne's retirement and his reliance on technology and his companion after years of service as the Dark Knight.

Funko produced this figure as part of their broader commitment to expanding the DC Multiverse line, aiming to satisfy a dedicated fanbase that grew up with the gritty, cyberpunk aesthetic of the Batman Beyond era. The design choices prioritize the iconic silhouette of the character’s aged appearance, reflecting the studio's broader effort to bridge the gap between classic comic aesthetics and modern collectible trends. It was received as a nostalgic piece for collectors, particularly noted for including the often-overlooked character of Ace, which distinguishes it from standard solo hero releases.
