Where it came from
Released in 2020, this Funko Pop! figure was created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Looney Tunes franchise. The design pays homage to Bugs Bunny, the quintessential trickster rabbit who first officially debuted in the 1940 short A Wild Hare. By featuring the character in his iconic pose, the figure leans into the classic animation style that defined Warner Bros. cartoons for decades.
The figure belongs to the Pop! Animation line, which seeks to distill complex animated characters into a standardized, stylized vinyl format. The design team focused on maintaining the rabbit's familiar silhouette and expressive features, ensuring the figure remained recognizable to long-time fans. It was met with positive reception from collectors who value both the nostalgia associated with the franchise and the systematic approach to Funko’s character archiving.
