Where it came from
Released as part of the Pop! Animation series, the Bugs Bunny as Superman figure was produced to celebrate the intersection of classic Looney Tunes iconography and the DC Comics multiverse. This crossover concept gained momentum after the release of the 1996 film Space Jam, which cemented the relationship between Warner Bros. properties. The design features Bugs Bunny wearing the iconic blue bodysuit, red cape, and 'S' shield, effectively blending his mischievous personality with the quintessential look of the Man of Steel.
The figure follows the standardized Funko aesthetic, featuring a stylized oversized head and simplified facial features to maintain consistency across the company's vast product lines. It was marketed toward adult collectors and pop culture enthusiasts who appreciate nostalgic mash-ups. The reception was generally favorable among Funko hobbyists, as it sits at the crossroads of two major licensing pillars within the Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio, making it a staple piece for character crossover collections.
