Provenance

Where it came from

The Captain America Funko Pop, numbered 06 in the original Marvel Universe series, was released during the early expansion of the Pop! Vinyl line. Created as part of the initial wave of Marvel characters, it was designed to capture the classic aesthetic of Steve Rogers, emphasizing the minimalist, oversized-head stylization that would eventually define the company's brand identity across global pop culture.

The design draws directly from the foundational Marvel comic book source material, focusing on the iconic blue suit, utility belt, and vibranium shield. While the figure was produced as a mass-market retail item for general fans, the addition of a signature from Chris Evans transforms the piece into a cross-media artifact, bridging the gap between the character's printed history and his cinematic portrayal in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
