Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Disney line, this figure commemorates the 65th anniversary of Disneyland. It features Captain Hook, the iconic antagonist from the 1953 animated film Peter Pan, rendered in the brand's signature stylized aesthetic. The design team sought to capture the character's traditional look—complete with his feathered cap, hook, and elaborate pirate attire—while maintaining the proportions consistent with the broader Pop! collection.
The figure was created to celebrate the park's historical milestone, honoring the enduring influence of Disney’s animated classics within the theme park environment. As part of a series focusing on beloved attractions and characters linked to the park's legacy, the piece was marketed to collectors and fans of Disney animation history. It is generally recognized as a tribute to the character’s long-standing presence in the 'Peter Pan's Flight' dark ride.
