Where it came from
The CB-6B figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Star Wars collection, specifically tied to the Galaxy's Edge expansion at Disney's theme parks. The droid design is unique to the immersive environment of Batuu, intended to reflect the aesthetic of astromechs seen inhabiting the Black Spire Outpost. By incorporating this character into the product line, Funko aimed to provide park visitors and collectors with a tangible memento of the specific narrative world established within Disney's themed attractions.
The design follows the standard Funko Pop! aesthetic, characterized by a stylized oversized head and simplified, minimalist features. As a numbered entry in the Star Wars series, the figure maintains the company’s signature approach to pop culture representation, which emphasizes brand consistency across vast licensed properties. Upon its arrival, the figure was primarily marketed toward park-goers and completist Star Wars collectors who sought to bridge the gap between their physical experiences in the theme parks and their home display shelves.
