Where it came from
Choso is a central antagonist-turned-ally in the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise, introduced as one of the Death Painting Womb curses. This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 1886 in the Animation line, was released to celebrate his pivotal role in the Shibuya Incident arc, capturing his distinct visual style—specifically his flowing robes and the unique markings associated with his Kamo clan heritage.
The figure was designed by Funko’s internal creative team to reflect the stylized, chibi-influenced aesthetic characteristic of the Pop! brand. By translating the grim and supernatural tone of Gege Akutami’s manga source material into a collectible vinyl format, the design seeks to balance the character's intimidating, blood-manipulating presence with the accessible, simplified proportions that define the modern Pop! Animation series.
