Where it came from
The Chucky Scarred Pop! figure, numbered 315 within the Pop! Movies line, draws its inspiration from the 1998 horror-comedy film Bride of Chucky. This design captures the character's post-reconstruction appearance, featuring the iconic facial scarring and staples that define his look throughout the later installments of the Child's Play franchise. Funko released this particular iteration as part of their broader initiative to immortalize iconic horror villains in their signature stylized aesthetic.
This specific black light variant utilizes vibrant, reactive paint applications designed to glow under ultraviolet illumination, a popular aesthetic choice for Funko's special edition releases. The design process focused on translating the gruesome details of the character's cinematic makeup into the simplified, oversized-head silhouette that defines the Funko brand. It reflects the company's strategy of revisiting classic horror properties through niche visual filters to engage long-term collectors.
