Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, this figure captures the character Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen from the 1985 cult classic film The Goonies. Produced to celebrate the enduring legacy of Richard Donner’s adventure film, the figure commemorates the iconic 'Truffle Shuffle' scene, a moment that remains central to the movie’s pop culture identity.
The design team at Funko focused on recreating Chunk’s recognizable wardrobe, specifically his plaid shirt and brown trousers, while adhering to the brand's signature aesthetic of oversized heads and simplified features. Upon its release, the figure was met with enthusiasm from collectors who favor 1980s cinema nostalgia, serving as a staple piece for those curating sets dedicated to iconic film characters of that decade.
