Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Games series, this figure depicts Ciri, the iconic Child of Surprise and central character from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The figure was produced to capitalize on the massive global popularity of CD Projekt Red's open-world role-playing game, which redefined the fantasy genre upon its release in 2015. It reflects the aesthetic transition of stylized vinyl collectibles aimed at gaming enthusiasts looking to display their favorite characters from high-fantasy narratives.
The design of the figure captures Ciri in her signature outfit from the game, complete with her distinctive silver-grey hair and sword. Funko's design team sought to distill the character's intricate, detailed fantasy armor into their standard, minimalist aesthetic, focusing on key visual markers like her facial scar and attire to ensure instant recognizability. While the figure was received as a standard mass-market collectible, it remains a notable entry in the broader Witcher merchandise line for its role in bringing the characters of the Continent into the vinyl figure format.
