Where it came from
D-Generation X, often abbreviated as DX, was a seminal professional wrestling stable that rose to prominence in the World Wrestling Federation during the late 1990s. The group became the vanguard of the Attitude Era, defined by their rebellious, anti-establishment attitude and transgressive humor. This Funko Pop! iteration captures the iconic pairing of Shawn Michaels and Triple H, two central figures whose partnership helped define the spectacle and personality-driven narrative of WWE at the turn of the millennium.
The figure design utilizes the standard Funko aesthetic to pay homage to the group's signature aesthetic, characterized by military-inspired green and black camouflage patterns and the famous DX finger-cross gesture. Funko developed this piece as part of their broader WWE line to cater to adult collectors nostalgic for the aggressive, high-energy storytelling of the late 90s wrestling boom. Upon its release, the figure was met with enthusiasm from wrestling fans who viewed it as a definitive tribute to a faction that significantly altered the cultural landscape of sports entertainment.
