Where it came from
Death the Kid is a character from the manga and anime series Soul Eater, created by Atsushi Ohkubo. The character, known for his obsession with symmetry and his dual-wielding of the Demon Twin Guns, serves as one of the series' primary protagonists. Funko released this Pop! figure as part of the Animation line, cataloged as number 781, to capture the distinct aesthetic of the Shinigami's son in his signature suit.
The design of the figure reflects the iconic visual language established in the Soul Eater animation, emphasizing the character's precise fashion and the stark, gothic-inspired aesthetic characteristic of Ohkubo's work. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series, who appreciated the attention to detail in the character's hair stripes and pose, further cementing the Soul Eater franchise's presence within the broader Pop! Animation catalog.
