Dino

Dino, the beloved pet dinosaur from the classic 1960s animated sitcom The Flintstones, was reimagined as part of the Funko Pop! Digital series. This digital-first collection launched as part of the broader expansion of the Pop! brand into the NFT space, where physical-backed collectibles were linked to unique tokens. The design leans into the simplified, oversized-head aesthetic characteristic of Funko, rendered with the bright, flat color palette associated with the Hanna-Barbera animation style.

The figure, numbered 166 in the digital release series, was created to appeal to both long-time fans of Bedrock’s prehistoric lifestyle and the emerging market of digital asset collectors. By pairing the nostalgic appeal of a mid-century cartoon icon with modern blockchain technology, Funko aimed to bridge traditional character merchandising with digital scarcity. Its reception among collectors has been defined by the novelty of the redemption process, where holders of the specific NFT were eligible to claim the physical figurine.
