Dixie (Hanna-Barbera)

Dixie, the diminutive mouse sidekick from the iconic Hanna-Barbera series The Huckleberry Hound Show, was released by Funko as part of their Pop! Animation line. Originally debuting in 1959, Dixie and his partner Pixie served as a classic comedic duo, often tasked with outsmarting the persistent cat, Mr. Jinks. This character design reflects the mid-century animation aesthetic characterized by clean lines and expressive, simple features that translated well into the stylized, large-headed vinyl format of the Pop! series.

The figure was produced to celebrate the enduring legacy of Hanna-Barbera’s golden era of television animation, capturing the nostalgic appeal of Saturday morning cartoons. Funko’s approach for these legacy characters focused on maintaining the spirit of the original character sheets while adhering to the signature aesthetic of the line. The figure was well-received by animation enthusiasts and collectors of vintage television memorabilia, serving as a companion piece to other Hanna-Barbera figures in the series.
