Douglas

Douglas was released as part of the Pop! Around the World series, a Funko collection designed to celebrate cultural diversity and international landmarks through their signature stylized aesthetic. Created during the line's expansion into global themes, the figure is intended to represent Australian heritage, specifically referencing the iconic landscape and wildlife of the region. Like other entries in the series, the design follows the established Funko formula of oversized heads and minimalist features, aiming to provide a whimsical educational memento for collectors interested in world travel.

The figure was produced to bridge the gap between pop culture fandom and global discovery. It was received by the collecting community as a niche sub-series, appreciated primarily by those who prioritize thematic completionism or have a personal connection to the Australian iconography it depicts. Its reception highlights the company's shift toward creating highly specific, culturally themed variants to engage an increasingly global audience of enthusiasts.
