D.W.

D.W. Read, the younger sister of the titular character in Marc Brown's long-running children's book series and the subsequent animated television show, was introduced to the Funko Pop! Animation line as part of a series celebrating Arthur. The figure captures her signature aesthetic, featuring her classic pink dress and white shoes, reflecting the character's precocious and often mischievous personality that has made her a staple of children's television since the series debuted in 1996.

The design of this figure leans into the simplified, oversized head proportions characteristic of the Pop! line, translated from the 2D animation style of the WGBH-produced show. Like many figures in the Animation category, it serves as a nostalgic touchstone for viewers who grew up with the PBS series, prioritizing a clean, recognizable representation of the character's iconic silhouette that aligns with the broader Funko aesthetic of collectible, uniform desk-sized figures.
