Where it came from
Released as part of the Pop! Movies line in 2020, this figure commemorates the 30th anniversary of the 1990 dark fantasy film Edward Scissorhands. The design depicts the titular character, played by Johnny Depp, in the midst of his artistic process, featuring the iconic dinosaur-shaped shrub that serves as one of the film's most memorable visual symbols of his gentle, creative nature.
The figure reflects Funko's signature aesthetic, balancing the character's gothic, Burtonesque appearance with the stylized, wide-eyed look characteristic of the Pop! brand. It was produced to satisfy a long-standing demand from fans of the film for a depiction of Edward engaged in his suburban topiary work, rather than just his standard formal portrait.
