Ender

Released in 2013 to coincide with the cinematic adaptation of Orson Scott Card's seminal 1985 science fiction novel, the Ender Wiggin Pop! figure marks an entry in the early years of the Funko Pop! Movies line. The design reflects the character's appearance in the film, specifically focusing on the Battle School training uniform, capturing the stoic, tactical demeanor expected of the young strategist. It was produced as part of a limited wave of merchandise intended to bridge the gap between the long-standing fanbase of the literary series and the new audience introduced by the Hollywood production.

The figure was designed with the characteristic Funko aesthetic: an oversized square head, simplified features, and a compact body, aiming to translate the intensity of the character into a stylized collectible format. Upon its release, the figure was met with typical enthusiasm from collectors of movie-licensed memorabilia, serving as a snapshot of the marketing push behind the film. While the film received mixed critical reviews, the figure remains a distinct artifact of the 2010s trend of pop culture franchising through vinyl collectibles.
