Freddy Funko As Captain Planet [GITD] #SE /500

The Freddy Funko as Captain Planet figure was released as a limited-edition exclusive, specifically created to celebrate the intersection of Funko’s mascot, Freddy, and the iconic 1990s environmental superhero. This piece was produced to commemorate San Diego Comic-Con, serving as a highly coveted crossover that highlights the pop-culture nostalgia that fuels the Funko brand. The design replaces the traditional Funko mascot aesthetic with the recognizable blue skin, green mullet, and red globe emblem of the Captain Planet character.

The figure features a glow-in-the-dark (GITD) treatment, a signature finish for Funko collectors that enhances the vibrancy of the character's elemental theme. As a limited run of 500 pieces, it was designed to reward dedicated fans of the Freddy Funko series, which consistently blends the company’s corporate identity with external intellectual properties. Upon its release, it was received as a centerpiece for enthusiasts of rare pop-culture collectibles, quickly becoming a recognized rarity within the secondary market for its specific production limitations.
