Where it came from
Gang Orca, or Kugo Sakamata, is a professional Pro Hero within the My Hero Academia franchise, conceptualized by series creator Kohei Horikoshi. Introduced as a formidable figure who ranks high on the hero charts, the character serves as a mentor and antagonist during the Provisional Hero License Exam arc. His design, characterized by his orca-inspired physique and intimidating presence, reflects Horikoshi's signature style of blending animalistic traits with traditional superhero aesthetics.
The Funko Pop! figure, numbered 986 in the Animation line, was released as part of the ongoing merchandise expansion for the franchise. Funko's design team focused on capturing the character's distinct silhouette, including his signature suit and the predatory features of his quirk. The item was produced to cater to the widespread popularity of the anime, and it has been received by the collecting community as a faithful representation of one of the series' more unique supporting characters.
