Ghost Proto

The Ghost Proto Pop! Digital figure was released as part of the broader Funko Digital Pop! initiative, which leverages blockchain technology to link physical collectibles to digital non-fungible tokens. This specific piece represents a transition in the company's strategy to bridge the gap between traditional vinyl toy collecting and the digital asset market, catering to a demographic interested in scarcity-based digital drops that can be redeemed for physical counterparts.

The design of the Ghost Proto follows the classic Pop! aesthetic but utilizes a translucent or spectral finish intended to evoke the 'prototype' motif common in toy production culture. Created within Funko's in-house design studio, the item serves as a meta-commentary on the industry's own manufacturing process, celebrating the unfinished or experimental look of pre-production toy models which are often highly sought after by completionist collectors.
