Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Games series, this figure depicts Goro, the iconic four-armed Shokan prince from the Mortal Kombat franchise. The design draws directly from his appearance in Mortal Kombat X, maintaining the signature Funko aesthetic while incorporating his distinct anatomy, including his dual sets of arms and the character's traditional martial arts attire. It was produced to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the fighting game series following the release of the tenth main entry in 2015.
The figure was developed under the official license from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios. As a mascot of the franchise, Goro was a highly anticipated addition to the Pop! lineup, aimed at both long-term fans of the 1990s arcade games and players of the modern iteration. It received a positive reception from the collecting community, who appreciated the challenge of translating such a complex character model into the stylized, minimalist proportions characteristic of the Pop! vinyl range.
