Where it came from
Gossamer was introduced as part of the Looney Tunes Pop! Animation series in 2017, representing the iconic red, hairy monster originally created by Chuck Jones for the 1946 short Hair-Raising Hare. The figure captures the character's distinctively large sneakers and heart-shaped hairdo, staying true to the playful, menacing aesthetic established during the golden age of Warner Bros. animation.
The design process for this piece focused on translating the creature's voluminous, shaggy appearance into the stylized, vinyl-based proportions signature to the Funko Pop! brand. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by animation enthusiasts and collectors who appreciated the nod to a classic, albeit secondary, Looney Tunes antagonist known for his gentle voice and intimidating stature.
