Green Goblin

The Green Goblin Pop! figure, number 1168, was produced by Funko as part of their Marvel line to coincide with the release of the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home. This design commemorates the return of Willem Dafoe to his iconic role as Norman Osborn, specifically capturing his updated, battle-worn aesthetic from the film’s climactic events. The figure serves as a piece of merchandise reflecting the cultural impact of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse storyline.

The design team at Funko focused on incorporating the character’s distinct tactical armor and signature purple-and-green color palette to ensure immediate recognizability for long-time fans of the franchise. By integrating the character into the Pop! aesthetic—characterized by oversized heads and simplified features—the design aims to balance a menacing silhouette with the standard charm of the collectibles series. The figure was met with positive reception from collectors who sought to complete their sets reflecting the film’s central antagonists.
