Provenance

Where it came from

Grogu, the Force-sensitive child introduced in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, became a cultural phenomenon upon the show's 2019 debut. Following his immense popularity, Funko released this festive variant as part of their Star Wars Holiday line in 2021. The design captures the character's familiar aesthetic, replacing his standard appearance with a holiday-themed accessory, specifically a Christmas cookie, to align with seasonal merchandising trends.

The figure was created by Funko's design team to leverage the high demand for Grogu-themed collectibles during the winter shopping season. Like many entries in the Pop! Star Wars series, the figure utilizes the brand's signature stylized vinyl aesthetic—characterized by a large, cuboid head and black bead eyes—to make the character instantly recognizable to fans of the franchise, serving as a decorative piece for collectors who curate themed holiday displays.
