Han Solo (The Force Awakens)

Released in 2015 as part of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens series, this figure commemorates the return of Harrison Ford to the role of Han Solo. Funko produced this pop-culture staple as part of their broader licensing agreement with Lucasfilm to capitalize on the high anticipation surrounding the first entry in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The design captures the character's updated appearance, reflecting his weathered yet iconic aesthetic from the film, specifically featuring his heavy coat and holster.

The figure was illustrated and sculpted following Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, which emphasizes oversized heads, large black eyes, and simplified geometric features. As number 79 in the Star Wars Pop! line, it serves as a transitional piece bridging the classic trilogy characters with the new cinematic era. Upon release, it was well-received by collectors who sought to round out their collections with the updated portrayals of legacy characters appearing alongside new protagonists like Rey and Finn.
