Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore with The Mirror of Erised

Released as part of the extensive Funko Pop! Harry Potter line, this figure captures a poignant moment from the first installment of J.K. Rowling’s series, 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone'. It was designed to commemorate the scene in which Harry discovers the Mirror of Erised, which reveals the deepest desires of the heart, in this case Harry seeing his long-lost parents. The figure features the iconic, stylized aesthetic that Funko established in the mid-2000s, characterized by oversized heads and simplified features, intended to make characters from massive franchises feel approachable and collectible.

The design process for the Harry Potter series focused on distilling complex character archetypes into the uniform Funko vinyl mold. In the case of this specific set, the addition of the Mirror of Erised provided a narrative anchor, shifting the focus from individual character portraits to an iconic plot point. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by the collecting community for its inclusion of a display base and its ability to represent a significant emotional beat from the cinematic adaptation, cementing its place as a staple for fans of the wizarding world.
