Hisoka

The Hisoka Pop! figure, numbered 652 in the Pop! Animation line, was released as part of Funko's initial wave of collectibles based on the Hunter x Hunter anime series. The figure depicts Hisoka Morow, the series' iconic antagonist and anti-hero, captured in his signature eccentric pose. The design process focused on translating his flamboyant aesthetic—complete with his distinct teardrop and star face markings—into the hallmark Funko stylized vinyl format, reflecting the company’s broader strategy of securing licenses for globally popular shonen manga properties.

Upon its release, the figure was well-received by the anime collecting community, who had long anticipated the inclusion of Hunter x Hunter characters in the Pop! catalog. As a primary antagonist, Hisoka is one of the most recognizable figures from Yoshihiro Togashi’s source material, and the release served to bridge the gap between niche anime fandom and mainstream vinyl toy culture. It has since become a staple for fans of the franchise, noted for its accurate representation of the character’s unsettling but charismatic personality.
