Imperial Super Commando

The Imperial Super Commando Funko Pop, numbered 452, was released as part of the Star Wars Rebels collection, a line dedicated to the characters and aesthetics of the animated series. These figures are manufactured by Funko, a company known for its signature stylized aesthetic that translates complex cinematic designs into simplified, oversized-head vinyl collectibles. This particular figure captures the distinct Mandalorian-inspired armor of the Imperial Super Commandos, the elite troopers who served under Gar Saxon and utilized their iconic jetpacks to enforce Imperial will across the galaxy.

The design of the figure draws directly from the animation style of the Rebels series, emphasizing the angular plates and unique color palette of the Imperial variant of Mandalorian armor. Funko’s design team focuses on distillation, identifying the most recognizable elements of a character—in this case, the helmet's T-visor and the specialized weapons—to maintain a cohesive look across the broader Star Wars product line. Upon its release, the figure was positioned as a completionist item for fans of the show's later seasons, specifically appealing to those interested in the darker, more militaristic elements of the Galactic Empire's hold over Mandalore.
