Where it came from
Jacob is part of the Pop! Television line released by Funko to celebrate the enduring legacy of the television series Lost. This figure, numbered 419, depicts the mysterious protector of the Island, capturing his signature disheveled, ethereal aesthetic from his appearances throughout the show's complex narrative. The figure was produced as part of a wider wave of collectibles that brought the show's ensemble cast to the vinyl figure format, aiming to provide fans with a tangible representation of the series' central figures.
The design emphasizes Jacob’s humble and worn appearance, reflecting his role as an ancient, long-suffering guardian. Like other figures in the Pop! Television series, this item utilizes the trademark large-head, stylized aesthetic that Funko established to unify disparate pop culture icons into a cohesive visual language. While the series ended years before this figure's debut, the release was met with enthusiasm by the dedicated community of collectors who continue to archive the history of the Oceanic 815 passengers and the Island’s enigmatic inhabitants.
