Jimmy Butler

The Jimmy Butler Pop! figure, designated number 48 in the Funko Pop! Basketball series, was released during the brand's expansive push to capture the likenesses of prominent NBA athletes. Produced as part of Funko’s stylized vinyl line, the figure depicts Butler in his Chicago Bulls uniform, capturing a specific era of his career when he emerged as a focal point for the franchise. The design follows the company's signature aesthetic, featuring an oversized head and simplified facial features meant to translate professional athletes into the distinctive, uniform proportions of the Pop! brand.

The design process for these NBA figures generally focuses on replicating the team's home or away jersey aesthetic and signature accessories, such as headbands or basketballs, to ensure immediate recognizability for fans. Upon its release, the figure was marketed toward collectors of sports memorabilia and casual fans of the NBA, serving as a relatively affordable entry point into athlete-themed collectibles. It remains a representative example of how Funko utilized licensing agreements with the league to capitalize on the popularity of individual star players during the mid-2010s.
