Karl

Karl is a character from the Fantastik Plastik line, a Funko-owned intellectual property that pays homage to the mid-century aesthetic of classic vinyl toys and retro mascot design. Released as part of the Pop! Digital series, this figure represents an evolution of Funko’s strategy to bridge traditional collectibles with the digital landscape, where the physical figurine is linked to a non-fungible token obtained through digital pack drops.

The design of the Fantastik Plastik characters, including Karl, typically leans into the exaggerated proportions and vibrant, saturated color palettes associated with 1950s and 60s advertising mascots. Created by Funko’s internal design team, the character embodies the brand's penchant for quirky, original designs that sit alongside their massive portfolio of licensed pop culture figures, serving as a reminder of the company's roots in stylized, standalone vinyl art.
