Katsuki Bakugo

Katsuki Bakugo, identified as figure number 803 in the Pop! Animation series, was released by Funko to capitalize on the global popularity of the My Hero Academia anime and manga franchise. First serialized in 2014 by Kohei Horikoshi, the series chronicles the life of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School. The character of Bakugo was designed as the explosive, volatile, and highly competitive foil to the protagonist, featuring his signature spiky hair and iconic hero costume that serves as a staple of his visual identity throughout the series.

This Funko figure captures Bakugo in his U.A. High hero outfit, reflecting the stylized, oversized-head aesthetic characteristic of the Pop! brand. The design emphasizes his aggressive persona through his characteristic smirk and grenade-like gauntlets, which are central to his quirk, Explosion. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series and collectors of anime-themed merchandise, serving as a standard entry in the extensive My Hero Academia collection that Funko has developed to mirror the evolving character designs of the anime.
