Where it came from
Kevin, the eccentric receptionist portrayed by Chris Hemsworth in the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, was immortalized as a Funko Pop! figure to commemorate the film's theatrical release. As part of the wider Pop! Movies line, the figure captures his distinct look from the movie, complete with his signature oversized glasses and casual attire. The design emphasizes Funko’s iconic stylized aesthetic, condensing the character's quirky charm into the standard four-inch vinyl format.
This figure represents a specific chapter in the Ghostbusters franchise, highlighting the expansion of the property under director Paul Feig. Upon release, the figurine was welcomed by collectors as a humorous nod to a fan-favorite supporting character, serving as a staple piece for those curating comprehensive Ghostbusters collections. It remains a representative example of the studio-driven merchandise strategy that accompanies major summer film releases.
