Where it came from
The Killer Croc Impopster figure is part of the DC Super Heroes Pop! line, released by Funko to explore a playful 'what if' concept within the Batman mythos. The Impopster series imagines iconic Batman villains adopting the mantle and aesthetic of the Dark Knight himself. This specific figure reimagines the reptilian antagonist Waylon Jones, known as Killer Croc, by dressing him in a modified, ruggedized Batman suit that reflects his monstrous physique and swamp-dwelling origins.
The design draws heavily on the character's traditional comic book appearance, featuring scaled skin textures and a tattered, cowl-wearing costume that merges the iconic bat motif with Croc’s gritty, subterranean aesthetic. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of the DC expanded universe for its unique blend of villainous characterization and superhero iconography, serving as a creative departure from the standard character depictions found in the broader Funko Heroes collection.
