King Tut (Classic 1966 TV)

The King Tut Funko Pop, numbered 187 within the Pop! Heroes line, serves as a tribute to the character portrayed by Victor Buono in the 1966 Batman television series. Unlike many of the villains in the series, King Tut was an original character created specifically for the show, rather than being adapted from the DC comic books of the era. The character, an Egyptology professor who suffers a blow to the head and begins to believe he is the reincarnation of an ancient pharaoh, became a memorable fixture of the show's campy, colorful aesthetic.

The figure design mirrors the distinct visual style of the 1966 production, featuring Tut's signature golden pharaonic headdress and ornate royal attire. As part of the wider Batman Classic TV Series wave, the figure was intended to capture the nostalgia of mid-century pop culture and the specific camp sensibilities of the Adam West-led series. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a niche collectible for fans of the 1960s program and those building comprehensive collections of the classic Batman rogues' gallery.
