Where it came from
The Laurens & Mulligan Special Edition Pop! figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Broadway collection, designed to commemorate the groundbreaking success of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton: An American Musical. These figures were produced to celebrate the show’s cultural impact and the unique character chemistry between John Laurens and Hercules Mulligan, who are portrayed by the same actor in the stage production, highlighting their roles as pivotal figures in the American Revolutionary War.
The design of these figures reflects the show's aesthetic, incorporating key visual elements from the costume design by Paul Tazewell. Funko aimed to capture the essence of the characters' dual personas, reflecting their high-energy stage presence and historical significance. The set was well-received by theatre fans and collectors alike, serving as a tangible bridge between the Broadway experience and the collectible toy market.
