Leonard as Green Lantern

This vinyl figure depicts Leonard Hofstadter from the hit television series The Big Bang Theory, reimagined as the Green Lantern. Released as part of Funko's Pop! Television line, the item draws on a recurring theme within the show where the main characters frequently display their love for comic book culture and DC superheroes. The figure was produced to celebrate the series' long-standing relationship with fandom and pop culture iconography, fitting into the aesthetic of the broader Funko Pop design language that emphasizes oversized heads and simplified, stylized features.

The design choice to dress the character in a Green Lantern costume highlights the show's frequent references to the Justice League and the characters' personal comic book collections. Like other figures in the Pop! Television series, it was intended as a collectible souvenir for fans of the sitcom, aiming to bridge the gap between television memorabilia and comic book art. The figure reflects the collaborative licensing relationship between Funko, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Comics, capturing a playful moment of roleplay that defined much of the character's personality throughout the show's twelve-season run.
