Where it came from
Lying Cat is a breakout character from the comic series Saga, created by writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Fiona Staples. Debuting in 2012, the character is a feline-like creature with the supernatural ability to detect lies, a trait that serves as a moral anchor in the story’s complex, interstellar narrative. The character quickly became an internet icon, beloved for its deadpan expression and unwavering honesty in a universe defined by deception.
Produced by Funko as part of the Pop! Comics line, the Pink version of Lying Cat was a sought-after variant release. The design translates Fiona Staples' distinct visual style into the brand's signature aesthetic, focusing on the character's large, expressive eyes and stern posture. Its reception among comic fans was overwhelmingly positive, solidifying its place as one of the most recognizable figures from the Saga merchandise collection.
