Magilla Gorilla & Mr. Peebles (Neon - 2-Pack)

Magilla Gorilla and his diminutive proprietor, Mr. Peebles, were introduced as a Hanna-Barbera television production in 1964. Created during the height of the studio’s success with character-driven comedies, the series centered on the persistent attempts of a pet shop owner to sell a gentle but accident-prone gorilla. The dynamic between the exasperated Mr. Peebles and the good-natured Magilla became a quintessential example of mid-century animation tropes, characterized by simple, expressive designs that prioritized clear silhouettes for television broadcasting.

The Funko Pop! Animation line translated these classic characters into the stylized, large-headed vinyl aesthetic common to the brand. This specific Neon 2-pack reimagines the characters with vibrant, high-contrast color palettes intended to evoke the glow of neon signage. Released as a niche collectible for fans of retro animation, the set adheres to the established design language of the Pop! series, focusing on a playful, exaggerated interpretation of the original character models that appeals to collectors of mid-century pop culture nostalgia.
