Where it came from
Mahito is part of the Pop! Animation line by Funko, representing the primary antagonist from the acclaimed dark fantasy anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. The figure depicts Mahito in his characteristic appearance, reflecting his role as a cursed spirit born from human hatred. This piece was released to capitalize on the series' immense popularity following the success of its first season and the subsequent expansion of its merchandise reach.
The design of this Pop! figure adheres to Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, featuring the oversized head and simplified proportions typical of the brand. It was crafted to capture Mahito's unsettling features, including his stitched-together appearance and distinctive long hair. As part of a larger wave of Jujutsu Kaisen figures, the item was received by collectors as a faithful, albeit simplified, translation of the character into the collectible vinyl format.
