Where it came from
The March Hare figure, number 1061 in the Pop! Disney line, was released to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the 1951 animated classic Alice in Wonderland. This design captures the character's eccentric appearance from the iconic Mad Tea Party sequence, featuring his signature oversized ears and distinctive green jacket. The aesthetic follows the standard Funko Pop! stylized approach, emphasizing a large head and simplified, recognizable features intended to appeal to both animation enthusiasts and long-term toy collectors.
Funko’s design team developed this iteration to align with a broader commemorative wave of Alice in Wonderland figures. By focusing on the whimsical and somewhat chaotic energy of the March Hare, the designers aimed to maintain visual consistency with the rest of the Disney collection while highlighting the unique charm of Lewis Carroll's original character. The figure was met with positive reception upon release, serving as a staple piece for collectors looking to complete the core cast of the film's most famous scene.
