Melisandre

Released as part of the initial wave of Funko's Pop! Game of Thrones line, this figure captures Melisandre, the enigmatic Red Priestess from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series and its television adaptation. Introduced to the line to capitalize on the immense popularity of the show's third and fourth seasons, the design reflects her iconic crimson robes and distinctive, flowing hairstyle, intended to translate her imposing screen presence into the stylized, large-eyed aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand.

The figure was produced during a period when Funko was rapidly expanding its licensed offerings, aiming to bridge the gap between high-end collectibles and accessible mass-market toys. Designers sought to distill the character's mysterious essence into a simplified form, utilizing her signature color palette. While the figure was received as a standard addition to the growing fantasy collection, it became a point of interest for fans of the show's darker characters, helping to cement the Pop! brand as a staple for television memorabilia enthusiasts.
