Michelangelo (Retro)

Michelangelo, numbered 18 in the Retro Toys line, was released by Funko to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. This figure captures the character's classic 1980s aesthetic, reflecting the source material of the original Mirage Studios comic books and the subsequent animated series that turned the quartet into global icons. The design intentionally leans into the nostalgia of the era, emphasizing the chunky, stylized proportions that have become the signature of the Pop! vinyl aesthetic.

The figure was created as part of a broader push to honor retro pop culture properties, appealing to both longtime fans who grew up with the turtles and newer collectors drawn to the franchise's bold color palette. Michelangelo is distinguished by his signature orange mask and dual nunchucks, design choices meant to evoke the high-energy personality of the character. Upon release, the figure was well-received by the collecting community for its faithful representation of the classic turtle look, serving as a staple piece in the expanded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collection.
