Mickey Mouse (Epic Mickey)

Released as number 64 in the Disney Pop! series, this figure represents the titular protagonist from the 2010 video game Epic Mickey. The game, developed by Junction Point Studios under the direction of Warren Spector, was designed to reintroduce a grittier, early-era version of the character into a surreal, forgotten world known as the Wasteland. This artistic direction sought to reclaim the mischievous spirit of 1930s animation while providing a darker narrative context for Disney's mascot.

The figure captures the specific aesthetic of the game's incarnation, featuring the character's signature red shorts and yellow shoes, but emphasizing the slightly more angular and expressive design favored by the game's art team. As part of Funko's broader Disney line, the piece was produced to capitalize on the cult following the game garnered during the Nintendo Wii era, appealing to both collectors of video game memorabilia and long-time fans of the character’s evolving visual history.
