Where it came from
The Mini Puft On Fire (936) was released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line to coincide with the 2021 film Ghostbusters: Afterlife. These figures represent the mischievous, miniature versions of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, a central antagonist element introduced in the film's marketing to invoke nostalgia for the 1984 original while highlighting the new, chaotic nature of the spirits encountered by the protagonists.
The design of this particular variant focuses on the character mid-combustion, utilizing glow-in-the-dark (GITD) elements to simulate the bright, otherworldly shimmer of the flames. Funko designers prioritized the contrast between the sugary, innocent appearance of the Marshmallow Man and the destructive, fiery environment in which he appears, creating a piece that appeals to both fans of the film's creature effects and collectors who prioritize unique material finishes like glow-in-the-dark coatings.
