Morton Salt Girl (Diamond Glitter)

The Morton Salt Girl, often called the Umbrella Girl, first appeared in 1914 as part of an advertising campaign designed by the N.W. Ayer & Son agency to highlight the moisture-resistant properties of Morton's new salt formula. The iconic image of a young girl in a yellow dress walking in the rain while spilling salt was created to symbolize that the product would pour freely even in damp conditions. This design became an enduring piece of Americana, serving as a pillar of corporate branding for over a century and cementing the character as a recognizable cultural archetype.

Funko introduced the Diamond Glitter version of the Morton Salt Girl as part of their Pop! Ad Icons series, specifically numbered 84. This variation was designed to capture the whimsy of the classic mascot while adding a modern tactile element, utilizing a sparkling finish on the figure to distinguish it from the standard release. Like many figures in the Ad Icons line, it was received primarily by collectors who value the nostalgic intersection of mid-century commercial art and contemporary pop-culture collectibles.
