Where it came from
Mr. DNA was introduced as part of the Jurassic Park Pop! Movies series, specifically designated as number 1170. The figure depicts the animated educational mascot from the 1993 film, who serves as a helpful, albeit simplified, guide to the genetic science behind the park's resurrection of dinosaurs. Its production follows the long-standing tradition of Funko highlighting iconic supporting characters that possess significant nostalgic appeal for fans of Steven Spielberg's original vision.
The design faithfully recreates the character's stylized, two-dimensional appearance from the film's expository cartoon sequence, translating his simplistic, friendly features into the standard Pop! aesthetic. By emphasizing his exaggerated grin and signature DNA strand design, the figure captures the whimsical tone of the early 90s edutainment style. Since its release, it has been received as a quintessential piece for collectors seeking to complete their Jurassic Park ensembles with characters beyond the primary protagonists.
