Ms. Marvel / Captain Marvel / Photon

This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 1258, represents the character Monica Rambeau as Photon, as depicted in the 2023 film The Marvels. It was produced as part of the broader Pop! Marvel line to coincide with the cinematic release, capturing the character in her updated superhero suit. The design process for these figures typically involves Funko's internal creative team translating high-fidelity costume details into their signature stylized, oversized-head aesthetic to align with promotional merchandise cycles.

The figure serves as a collectible tie-in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's expansion of the Captain Marvel franchise, emphasizing the shared narrative arc of Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau. Like many modern mass-market vinyl collectibles, it was received primarily as a celebratory piece for fans of the film. Its design highlights the specific aesthetic shifts of the character's costume transition from her WandaVision portrayal to her final appearance in The Marvels.
