Where it came from
The Notorious B.I.G. Pop! Deluxe figure, numbered 489, was released by Funko as part of their broader tribute to iconic figures in hip-hop history. The piece depicts Christopher Wallace, widely known as The Notorious B.I.G., seated on his signature throne, a nod to the promotional imagery used during his career. This Deluxe edition was designed to capture a sense of grandeur, reflecting his status as a central figure in 1990s East Coast hip-hop.
Funko’s design team utilized their standard stylized aesthetic, characterized by large, expressive heads and simplified features, to translate Wallace's likeness into a collectible format. The figure was met with positive reception from hip-hop enthusiasts and toy collectors alike, serving as a commemorative item that honors the cultural impact of his music. It stands as part of a larger line of musical icons curated to celebrate significant contributions to pop culture.
